Red Linen Kirtle by DaisyViktoria Red Linen Kirtle by DaisyViktoria
A long sleeved red linen kirtle! Yay! This is early 15th century, though it really works for most late 14th - early 15th c stuff. I actually made this with the intention of using it solely as an underdress for two future gown projects. However, I have already worn it alone once. In this photo, I am also wearing velvet tippets and a linen veil.

These are so elegant!  I wish women still wore them on the street.

Your ensembles are so very accurate, I love the attention you pay to details and the quality shows.

Thank you so much! Haha, I try to be accurate! Sometimes there are liberties I have to take because I live in warm weather in southern California, but it's all about knowing where to deviate (like single layer linen instead of bulky warm stuff!) and where to stay true (like the whole look and the patterning and finishing).

I'm in California myself, though northern -- and I understand. Nonetheless, your works are beautiful and are always in good taste.
