I created this for a client as a custom elven costume. The pieces are all inspired by historical clothing, as well as fantasy and Lord of the Rings, overall creating a really fun blend of historical and fantasy elements. I created for him: a lined wool cloak with custom clasp, an overtunic/cotehardie with hand-finished applique, undertunic, pants, and leg wraps.

Typically, I find elf costumes to be way impractically designed, as its always based vaguely on nebulous medieval formal wear, but you managed to keep equal parts fantasy, elegance and functionality on this piece.

I want one. :love: But maybe not with the flowers. It's really pretty, but not exactly something I would WEAR, if you know what I mean (me being a dude). Other than that, I would SO wear that out like normal clothes! The one thing that would make it even BETTER to me: make it purple. That's my favorite color. :D
